20/365 | 20th Jan 2013 | Quezon, PH Covered the Ateneo men’s football game earlier against UP. Photo is from the goal celebration following a cracking strike from Carlo Liay which went in through the top corner, after beating the UP keeper. The game finished 2-1; UP captain Segunial scored a headed own goal following an Ateneo free kick, and Mendoza converting the lone UP goal from the penalty spot. That was the first goal Ateneo conceded in season 75.

Had lunch with mommy earlier at Mango Tree. After a roller coaster morning, a good lunch and even better company was just what I needed.

Spent the evening at the Fort to attend an art gallery featuring written works made which artists translated into visual ones. Kara was one of the contributors; the one on the top left was the visual translation of her piece, “Accidents Happen”. The night of the accident has got to be one of the most memorable; and now it’s in painting. (Kudos also to Pam Celeridad on doing such a great job.)

Celebrations after Aina Martin scored the late winner off a free kick during Ateneo’s game earlier against UP. The game ended 1-0. Dropped by the game after a meeting to catch the closing minutes of the game.
Yesterday, I heard the news that my sister was out of the remainder of the UAAP season. As such, she wasn’t playing in this game. We learned the game together so it was encouraging for me to see her grow as a player. It’s painful and sad to see the hard work she put throughout the year go to waste due to one bad injury. However, I’m confident she can bounce back and become an even better player next season. (Hi sister. If you’re reading this, sorry for the cheesiness)

The look of this seemingly unappetizing soup dish does not give justice to how it tastes. This is sinigang na lechon. It needs no further explanation. Up until this evening, I thought paksiw was the only way to rehash lechon. Perfect ending to a long day.
(I know how much you like sinigang, Kara. I promise to learn the magic of this and make it for you soon. Hehe)

Shot the Ateneo-La Salle volleyball game today. After taking the first two, the Lady Eagles were beaten three sets to two. While the fast paced gameplay of volleyball adds an extra degree of difficulty when shooting, the players’ emotions shown after each point is scored makes it more exciting to shoot. Although I think I shouldn’t be watching volleyball games; until now, all the games I’ve been to have been defeats. Prior to today, the Lady Eagles were unbeaten.
(Although the highlight of today goes to spending the afternoon watching BlueRep’s Stages of Love with Kara.)

Ran from Ateneo to Freeform at 4:20 in the afternoon to get these printed to meet a 5pm deadline. Walked in the SOH dean’s office to pass the requirements; only to find out that the deadline was moved a week later. On the bright side, I can pass the other 2 copies of the printed portfolio.
